Selection of Projects:

Project: Healthcare Sector – PanVenture Provided Procurement and Supply Chain Expertise – PPE Gowns, Masks and ClearMasks – PanVenture procured PPE to private hospitals, schools and care-homes for special people in the UK. PanVenture identified numerous suppliers worldwide and prepared the bid for tender to exceed the expectations on quality and price of the clients. PanVenture sourced a range of products from China, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan and India to meet customised specifications and cut supply costs for the customer by at least 20% over previous suppliers.

Project: Hospitality Sector – PanVenture Provided Procurement and Supply Chain Expertise – PanVenture procured Bed Linens and Towels to 5 Star Hotels in the UK. PanVenture identified over a dozen potential suppliers and prepared the bid for tender to exceed the expectations on quality and price of the customers. Project: Healthcare Sector – PanVenture Provided Competitive Analysis and Strategic Consulting – Strategic Research: Market and competitive intelligence on companies in the healthcare AI (artificial intelligence) industry including the industry giants and startups focused on medical imaging and drug discovery, specifically generating novel drug candidates and validating and optimizing drug candidates. Created detailed industry research report and SWOT analysis.

Project: Forestry and Clean Energy Sector: Strategy and Business plan Consulting – for Forestry Development company in Thailand and South East Asia aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emission as well as improving the livelihood of local farmers in the region. Operation model involved land lease acquisition, working closely with government authorities, banks, and farmers labour union. Business model based on developing sustainable forestry management and revenue from registration of carbon credit with emissions trading scheme for carbon offset programmes and from high quality timber production, biomass based renewable energy production (eg. wood chips for biogas).

Project: Legal Sector – PanVenture Provided International Marketing Consulting – Digital Marketing – Responsible for international sales and marketing of two law firms developing international legal services including family law, property law, immigration and visa services to customers worldwide. Project managed the rebuild of the two different law firms’ corporate websites, content creation, and online / digital marketing functionality, SEO, SEM.

Project: Education Sector – PanVenture Provided International Marketing and Events Organisation Expertise – Education Events – Marketing, Organising and Hosting of worldwide education fairs and agent workshops, targeting international student recruitment for educational institutions. Project: Seaport Construction and Investment Case:
With the rapid market development and increased import/export pressure there is a huge requirement to expand Seaports along the China coast. PanVenture represented a Shandong Seaport in its construction, project planning and investment opportunities.

Project: Advised a Chinese Food Processing Machine Manufacturing Company on International Marketing

  • PanVenture acted as an Advisor to this Chinese Group in 2003 on cross-border M&A and creating its Business Plan. PanVenture was retained as Advisor and continues to provide strategic advice to this Chinese company as requested by the company.

Project: Advised a Taiwanese Conglomerate on investment and technology transfer:

  • PanVenture provided strategic advice and created an English language and International Standard Business Plan for a Taiwanese conglomerate.  PanVenture was retained as Advisor for a 12 month period to assist the Head of the new division to create several business plans for the establishment of the division. The business plans led to the successful funding and spin-off of the new company, including US$1 Million from the Group and US$1 Million from private investors.  PanVenture continues to provide active consulting role whenever requested by the company.

SEEDA (South East England Government Agency, UK)

SEEDA is a British government sponsored organization based in Guildford, Surrey, UK.  SEEDA’s short-term goals in China include to stimulate South East England economic growth by engaging in the following activities: Developing collaborations between Universities and Research Institutions; Developing collaborations between Industry Groups and Organizations; and Facilitate commercial transactions between Chinese and British entities.  SEEDA’s ultimate objectives are to: Stimulate investment by Chinese entities into the South East of England; Stimulate Chinese entities to locate offices, distribution or manufacturing centres in the South East of England; Stimulate the GDP and employment opportunities in S.E. Shandong Xiwang Group (Located in Zhouping, Shandong, China)

Xiwang Group is a leading private Chinese manufacturer of Corn Extracts The Company’s major products are Corn Starch, Crystal Glucose, Corn Oil, and Maltodextrin.  These products are sold as ingredients to a variety of customers across the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and animal feeds industries.  Xiwang was established in 1991 and is the market leader in terms of market share with between 10 and 20% of the market share for each of its major products.  The Xiwang-Group currently employs over 2,270 staff.

TECO Group (Located in Taipei, Taiwan)

TECO Group is a large public listed Taiwanese industrial group that was established in 1956.  With over US$6 Billion in annual sales, more than 30,000 employees, TECO Group has over 30 subsidiaries that manufactures and sells Household Appliances, Commercial Air-Conditioners, Industrial Motors, Semi-Conductor Equipment Components, Telecommunications Equipment, IT Systems, Electromechanical Components, Commercial Electronics and Software including  Hospital Software.  The Hospital Software Division was spun off from TECO Group in July 2000 and was incorporated under the name of INQGEN Technology Co. Ltd.  INQGEN sells software to hospitals to manage Electronic Patient Records (EPR) and plans to deliver bio-informatics services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Phenogenomics Inc (Located in Seattle, WA, USA)

Phenogenomics is a company founded by Leroy Hood, famous for his research to develop anti-cancer drugs based on antibody research.  Phenogenomics is developing novel and rapid methods for detection of proteomic interactions which are designed to discover new antibody-based drugs for cancer treatment and cure.

Taiwan Genome Sciences (Located in Taipei, Taiwan)

Taiwan Genome Sciences(TGS) was established in 1999.  TGS develops and sells new technologies that are used by other companies to develop treatments and diagnostics of diseases.  TGS is using proprietary bioinformatic tools in order to identify disease-associated therapeutic targets, and to identify biological active components in traditional Chinese medicine as well as disease-associated markers to be used for a series of personal diagnostic devices.

GeneMaster Lifesciences (Located in Taipei, Taiwan)

GeneMaster Lifesciences, one of Taiwan’s fast-growing Biochip companies and was established in May 2000 in Taipei. GeneMaster produces gene chips and protein chips, and has a 10K-class clean room for biochip fabrication.  GeneMaster offers a complete turnkey biotech platform – from biochip production, equipment, and reagent kits, to analysis software and database services – to serve bioscientific research and diagnostic applications.

PanResearch Inc. (Located in Palo Alto, California, USA)

PanResearch is a biotechnology and research Company located in Mountain View, California, USA.  PanResearch has a staff of over 40 people, dedicated to the discovery of new pharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer, and of neurological diseases. PanResearch also invests in and incubates start-up companies.

Panocea Products. (Located in Palo Alto, California, USA)

Panocea Products was established as a division of PanResearch in 1994, and develops, manufactures and sells extracts Chinese and other medicinal herbs for use in the Cosmetics and Nutrition industry.  These so-called “Cosmeceuticals” and “Neutraceuticals” are sold mainly to the Japanese, Korean and US markets.

Animal Technology Inst. Taiwan (ATIT) (Located in Judung, Taiwan)

ATIT is a Government and Industry founded research organization serving Taiwan’s animal breeding industry.  Programmes includes Feed Analysis, Clinical Analysis, Animal Husbandry, Diagnosis and Therapy of Animal Diseases, Artificial Organ Development, and Biochips.  ATIT is also responsible for driving commercialization of promising animal technologies in Taiwan.

Clontech Inc. (Located in Palo Alto, California, USA)

Clontech is a large Biotechnology Corporation that was established in 1990, and was recently acquired by, and is currently a subsidiary business unit of BD Biosciences.  Clontech manufactures and sells tools that enable researchers to discover new pharmaceuticals.  Clontech was the first company to develop and commercialize several key technologies: GFP-based (green fluorescent protein) transgenic gene marker, identifying or reporter systems; two-hybrid analysis systems for studying protein interactions; and gene array technology for high-throughput differential expression analysis.
