Project: Advised an Irish education provider on International Marketing

PanVenture assisted an Irish English language school and foundation diploma course provider to internationalise its student population and to develop its international student recruitment activities by procuring agents from around the world.

Project: Advised a European global education events company on International Marketing

PanVenture assisted with marketing and selling of worldwide education fairs and agent workshops targeting international student recruitment for educational institutions all over the world. Responsible for content creation, education databases, mass email and direct marketing programmes, and assist with SEO, and SEM campaigns to all global markets.

Project: Advised a Thai-based International Law Firm on International Marketing

PanVenture assisted the Lawfirm to internationalise its marketing and build its brand to reach global clients. Rebuilt the international website and established online marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM and SMM), moving it from no-ranking to top page for relevant online search. The lawfirm specializes in Business Law, Family Law, Legal Services and Litigation for Expats, Global Immigration and Visa Applications.

Project: Advised a Chinese Food Processing Machine Manufacturing Company on International Marketing

PanVenture is a Global Representative of a company located in Baotou, China which has developed pioneering technology to manufacture high pressure steel chambers with superior strength using a technique known as “autofrettage”. High Pressure Processing (HPP) is a new technology developed for use in food safety equipment. Quality of Food and Beverage processing is becoming increasingly challenging with higher demands for fresh tasting but microbe free products. Normal pasteurisation produces foods and beverages with bland tastes but high pressure processing (HPP) which is also known as “pascalisation”, is becoming a widely accepted alternative because the processing enables microbe-free products with fresh tasting natural flavours. PanVenture’s consultants are representing the Chinese company to market their HPP equipment internationally and to increase their global brand recognition.

Project: Advised a British University to Establish the First Sino-Foreign Joint Venture in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China:

Advised this UK Top-Ten University in its Joint Venture negotiation and successful implementation at all levels

  • Advised this US University in its Joint Venture negotiation and successful implementation at all levels

Project: Advised an American University to Establish the Fourth Sino-Foreign (Second Sino-US) Joint Venture in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China:

  • Advised this US University in its Fund-Raising efforts to build Phase 1 of its JV University, senior and middle schools.

Project: Advised a British Government Regional Development Agency on China Policy:

  • Host Chairman of British Government Agency to Meet Leading Companies in China
  • Promoted the South of England to Chinese Companies to Enter European Markets
  • Advised the agency on suitable targets for Inward Investment into South East England
  • Advised agency on Business Opportunities and Strategy for UK companies in China
  • PanVenture introduced several Pharmaceutical and Electronic Appliance Companies and continues to assist these companies to identify distribution partners or establish sales and marketing offices in UK. PanVenture was retained as a Strategic Advisor and continues to provide services to this British Government Agency whenever required.

Project: Advised a British Investment Bank establishing a Joint Venture in China:

  • Created Business Plan and provided Strategic Advice
  • Led to successful establishment of a Joint Venture New Investment Bank in China
  • Advised the British investment bank on strategy for investment in China
  • PanVenture advised and assisted the British Investment Bank since October 2002 in its China Operations, leading to the establishment of the China-based JV in August 2003.  PanVenture assisted the bank to create its China business plan and develop its China operating strategy.  PanVenture also assisted the JV to develop methodologies for serving its clients in China, including preparation for merger and acquisition, share-swap or IPO listing in London and Singapore.  PanVenture continues to provide services to this British Investment Bank whenever required.

Project: Advised a Chinese Conglomerate establishing a Joint Venture in China with a British Investment Bank:

  • PanVenture advised and assisted the Group and its investment bank subsidiary, since October 2002, leading to the establishment of a JV with a British Investment Bank in August 2003.  PanVenture assisted the JV to create its business plan and develop its operating strategy.  PanVenture also assisted the JV to develop methodologies for serving its clients in China, including preparation for merger and acquisition, share-swap or IPO listing in London and Singapore.

Project: Advised a Chinese Conglomerate on cross-border M&A / IPO listing:

  • Advised this Chinese corporation on cross-border M&A for Singapore and London
  • PanVenture acted as an Advisor to this Chinese Group in 2003 on cross-border M&A and creating its Business Plan.  PanVenture was retained as Advisor  and continues to provide strategic advice to this Chinese company as requested by the company.

Project: Advised a Taiwanese Conglomerate on investment and technology transfer:

  • PanVenture provided strategic advice and created an English language and International Standard Business Plan for a Taiwanese conglomerate.  PanVenture was retained as Advisor for a 12 month period to assist the Head of the new division to create several business plans for the establishment of the division. The business plans led to the successful funding and spin-off of the new company, including US$1 Million from the Group and US$1 Million from private investors.  PanVenture continues to provide active consulting role whenever requested by the company.

  • PanVenture acted as advisor to this company in 2002 and continues to assist the company to meet with suitable distribution partners and to identify potential customers in Asia.

Project: Advised a California-based Biotech company on fund-raising:

  • PanVenture was retained as Advisor to the former President and Founder of this large US Biotech company to create a business plan for the establishment of a subsidiary bioinformatics company to gather, store and resell data and information derived from its genomic and proteomic research and discovery technologies.  The business plan enabled the President to obtain internal funding of US$1 Million from its existing investors to create the new subsidiary.
  • Created Business Plan for establishment of new subsidiary.

SEEDA (South East England Government Agency, UK)

SEEDA is a British government sponsored organization based in Guildford, Surrey, UK.  SEEDA’s short-term goals in China include to stimulate South East England economic growth by engaging in the following activities: Developing collaborations between Universities and Research Institutions; Developing collaborations between Industry Groups and Organizations; and Facilitate commercial transactions between Chinese and British entities.  SEEDA’s ultimate objectives are to: Stimulate investment by Chinese entities into the South East of England; Stimulate Chinese entities to locate offices, distribution or manufacturing centres in the South East of England; Stimulate the GDP and employment opportunities in S.E. England.

Temima Group is an Investment Bank with Headquarters in London and offices in Singapore, Taipei, Beijing, Xi’an and Jinan. Temima invests in and advises high growth companies in the Food and Agribusiness, Environmental Protection, Education, IT, and Real Estate industry sectors. SanLian Group (Located in Jinan, Shandong Province, China)

Shandong Xiwang Group (Located in Zhouping, Shandong, China)

Xiwang Group is a leading private Chinese manufacturer of Corn Extracts The Company’s major products are Corn Starch, Crystal Glucose, Corn Oil, and Maltodextrin.  These products are sold as ingredients to a variety of customers across the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and animal feeds industries.  Xiwang was established in 1991 and is the market leader in terms of market share with between 10 and 20% of the market share for each of its major products.  The Xiwang-Group currently employs over 2,270 staff.

TECO Group (Located in Taipei, Taiwan)

TECO Group is a large public listed Taiwanese industrial group that was established in 1956.  With over US$6 Billion in annual sales, more than 30,000 employees, TECO Group has over 30 subsidiaries that manufactures and sells Household Appliances, Commercial Air-Conditioners, Industrial Motors, Semi-Conductor Equipment Components, Telecommunications Equipment, IT Systems, Electromechanical Components, Commercial Electronics and Software including  Hospital Software.  The Hospital Software Division was spun off from TECO Group in July 2000 and was incorporated under the name of INQGEN Technology Co. Ltd.  INQGEN sells software to hospitals to manage Electronic Patient Records (EPR) and plans to deliver bio-informatics services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Phenogenomics Inc (Located in Seattle, WA, USA)

Phenogenomics is a company founded by Leroy Hood, famous for his research to develop anti-cancer drugs based on antibody research.  Phenogenomics is developing novel and rapid methods for detection of proteomic interactions which are designed to discover new antibody-based drugs for cancer treatment and cure.

Taiwan Genome Sciences (Located in Taipei, Taiwan)

Taiwan Genome Sciences(TGS) was established in 1999.  TGS develops and sells new technologies that are used by other companies to develop treatments and diagnostics of diseases.  TGS is using proprietary bioinformatic tools in order to identify disease-associated therapeutic targets, and to identify biological active components in traditional Chinese medicine as well as disease-associated markers to be used for a series of personal diagnostic devices.

GeneMaster Lifesciences (Located in Taipei, Taiwan)

GeneMaster Lifesciences, one of Taiwan’s fast-growing Biochip companies and was established in May 2000 in Taipei. GeneMaster produces gene chips and protein chips, and has a 10K-class clean room for biochip fabrication.  GeneMaster offers a complete turnkey biotech platform – from biochip production, equipment, and reagent kits, to analysis software and database services – to serve bioscientific research and diagnostic applications.

PanResearch Inc. (Located in Palo Alto, California, USA)

PanResearch is a biotechnology and research Company located in Mountain View, California, USA.  PanResearch has a staff of over 40 people, dedicated to the discovery of new pharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer, and of neurological diseases. PanResearch also invests in and incubates start-up companies.

Panocea Products. (Located in Palo Alto, California, USA)

Panocea Products was established as a division of PanResearch in 1994, and develops, manufactures and sells extracts Chinese and other medicinal herbs for use in the Cosmetics and Nutrition industry.  These so-called “Cosmeceuticals” and “Neutraceuticals” are sold mainly to the Japanese, Korean and US markets.

Animal Technology Inst. Taiwan (ATIT) (Located in Judung, Taiwan)

ATIT is a Government and Industry founded research organization serving Taiwan’s animal breeding industry.  Programmes includes Feed Analysis, Clinical Analysis, Animal Husbandry, Diagnosis and Therapy of Animal Diseases, Artificial Organ Development, and Biochips.  ATIT is also responsible for driving commercialization of promising animal technologies in Taiwan.

Clontech Inc. (Located in Palo Alto, California, USA)

Clontech is a large Biotechnology Corporation that was established in 1990, and was recently acquired by, and is currently a subsidiary business unit of BD Biosciences.  Clontech manufactures and sells tools that enable researchers to discover new pharmaceuticals.  Clontech was the first company to develop and commercialize several key technologies: GFP-based (green fluorescent protein) transgenic gene marker, identifying or reporter systems; two-hybrid analysis systems for studying protein interactions; and gene array technology for high-throughput differential expression analysis.
